According to the Worldsteel Association, the steel industry is the second biggest industry in the world with an estimated global turnover of USD 900 billion. By 2050, steel use is projected to increase to 1.5 times higher than present levels in order to meet the needs of our growing population - with the housing and construction sector being steel’s largest consumer.
Indonesia: Steps Up On Infrastructure

  • The Indonesian government begin building 335.6 kilometers (209 miles) of toll roads from now through 2017
  • Inflows from a recently approved tax amnesty law to see The Public Works Ministry expect an allocation of IDR 106 trillion in 2017
  • 30 priority infrastructure projects of Indonesia’s (2016-2019)
    • In total, these projects together will require some IDR 5,519 trillion (approx. US $415 billion) worth of investment, made up of public and private partnerships, sole-government projects and state-owned enterprise projects
    • These projects include the Trans-Sumatera toll road that will stretch 2,818 kilometer along Sumatra, a 2000-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Batang, Central Java, and the Bontang oil refinery in Kalimantan
    • Three water sanitation projects in Jakarta and East Java are also included, along with the government’s plan to revitalise 10 airports across Indonesia as well as a Mass Rapid Transit line connecting the southern area of Jakarta to its northern parts

An International Showcase at indometal 2016
300 leading names from 30 countries, including national pavilions and groups from Italy, Indonesia, China, Taiwan and for the first time, Spain will showcase a comprehensive range of machinery and products from foundry technology, casting products, to metallurgy and thermo process technology - in leveraging on the synergistic interrelations amongst these product categories.

Founded in 1946, the Italian Association of the foundry suppliers comprises leading companies and manufacturers of industrial furnaces, green sand & no-bake plants, core shooters, gravity and low pressure plants, die casting machineries, mould & cores and products for ferrous and nonferrous foundry industry. It currently represents about 100 manufacturers responsible for the majority of Italian output for worldwide sales.

                               ITALIAN TECHNOLOGY

Companies from Friuli Venezia Giulia region (located on the Italian eastern border), leaders in realising high quality machineries, plants and tools will present their latest innovations and commercial aspects of various machineries and equipment at the exhibition.

Led by the Indonesian government, the Ministry of Industry focuses in fields related to industrial affairs. The Ministry's key functions in the industry include formulation, determination, and execution of ministerial policy, execution of technical guidance and supervision on policy implementation, research and development and implementation of substantial and administrative support in ministerial organisation.

Established in 1988, MC-CCPIT is an organisation engaged in promoting international trade and economic & technological cooperation for China’s metallurgical industry. MC-CCPIT carries out a variety of international exchange activities under the governance of laws and regulations of PRC to promote international trade and economic & technological cooperation for the Chinese industry.

KAIGO brings together Taiwanese companies in showcasing the best of Taiwan’s machinery, technology, equipment and solutions for the metal and steel sectors. The Pavilion presents the country’s leading producers, manufacturers and top industry players in the market for metal components and products manufacturing, metallurgical fabrication, contract manufacturing, etc.

FUNDIGEX-AMFEX, the Spanish Association Castings, Foundry Machinery and related Products and Services, is a non-profit organisation, founded in 1984 with the objective of promoting the exports the Spanish companies in the foundry sector. The part dedicated to foundry equipment currently embodies 9 associated companies providing different types of equipment and products: refractories, industrial furnaces, engineering, shot-blast equipment, abrasives, moulds, moulding machines, control equipment, feeder head breakers. mould boxes, vibrating machinery, sand mixers etc.
As the Casting Exporters Association of Spain, our objective is to promote the exports and the internationalisation of Spanish companies in the foundry sector. Together with Amfex, the Spanish Association of Foundry Machinery and related products and services, we will be leading five Spanish companies to showcase their latest technologies and services at indometal 2016 for the first time. We believe it will be our stepping-stone into the growing Indonesian market, particularly in the automotive sector.
